Baskerville Hall, famed from Arthur Conan Doyle's book "The Hounds of the Baskervilles" Interior view of Baskerville Hall. Band of Brothers, 2 members were unable to com through circunstances, Day 1 Early morning view of the mountains. Day 1 Follow the River Wye to Bougthrood Castle then return to Hotel by footpaths. The River Wye with family of swans, Lunch - no complaints about the weather. This path is what is known in "techno-speak" as "a bit claggy" Slight hazard on the way back "Chicken of the woods" back at Hotel, Day total 14 miles. Day 2 Following Offa's Dyke to Hay Bluff and then loop back to Hay, 12.0 miles Climbing away from Baskerville Hall. Baskerville Hall in the distance Quick pause, Our target, Hay Bluff, in sight! Arthur, Tony and Roy Arthur and Jim, followed by Tony and Roy descend to the car park. Day 3 The "Full Monty" Breakfast Day 3 From Talgarth into the mountains and circle back 10.0 miles. Roy getting up close with a horse.... Tony getting up close with a dog... More cruel and unusual hazards! And here is what all the fuss was about Our goal in the distance Long way up! Way down there, rounding up sheep with motorcycles and dogs, The Mountains, onwards and upwards. Job creation scheme, 2 lads rebuilding this path for 2 years Jim fording a stream.
